with the private sector and our first lady, michelle obama, to address the epidemic of childhood obesity, and blue cross blue shield announced the 10 cities will play host to "play streets," and not surprisingly san francisco has been designated as one of the cities. each city will host at least four play street events, by closing streets and opening them up for kids and families to be out and enjoy the public right-of-way in a different way than just passing through it. very much i akin to sunday streets. they will receive funds and technical assistance. an extension of the sunday street umbrella. probably much smaller than a big center street closure. we will work with neighborhoods to identify the ones they would like to us to close - we had a discussion a few months back about being more friendly to these kinds of activities. that concludes my report. >> chairman nolan: members of the board, questions or comments? >> congratulations on the play street grant. i know this board and the public in general has shown his huge appetite for speeding up transit and director reisk

. this is one of the rooms newly decorated for the holiday season. first lady michelle obama hosting military families. she's going to be entertaining as well. there's going to be arts and crafts in the state dining room. let's listen. at the white house, yeah, it's a cool house. i like it. i have said this many times before and i will say it again because i can't say it enough, our military families truly represent the very best that this country has to offer and i've seen it up close. you all do so much for this country and you do it with such amazing poise and grace. you all are outstanding neighbors. you are just phenomenal focused parents. you all are tremendous co-workers and community leaders in your own rights and you all do this under such extraordinary circumstances. so many of you are doing it while moving from base to base every couple of years. enduring all of those months of long deployments with loved ones serving oftentimes halfway around the world. and then there are military kids. you guys look gorgeous today and handsome and very clean. and we're going to try to change that

, michelle obama showed off the white house christmas decoratio decorations. she had some very special guests. >> we are also honoring our military families with some very special decorations on the official white house christmas tree that's in the blue room. it's the biggest tree in the house. it's huge. stands close to 19 feet tall. it is one of my favorite trees. this very special joining forces tree is covered with hand-decorated ornaments made by military children living in u.s. bases around the world. it's going to be a great holiday for everyone. and we are just excited to have visitors come through. this is our official opening throughout the holiday season more than 90,000 people will come from all around the world to see this house. and i couldn't imagine a better way to get things kicked off by having all of you here with us. >>> and you're in "the situation room." happening now, syria's rebels making gains in their bloody civil war knocking regime aircraft out of the sky. now a former syrian pilot is sharing inside details on his orders to target syrian civilians. the election exp
